Syllabus: Soil, water, and plant relationships. Water quality and treatment. Hydraulic theory, design criteria, pumps and pumping systems, filtration, fertigation injectors, controller valves and distribution systems. Installation procedures; irrigation scheduling, operation and maintenance; root deficit irrigation; operation and maintenance; and soil moisture monitoring systems. Water resource development and maintenance.
