Syllabus: Introduction to the macro and micro-economic context and aspects of social policy, including the intersection between social policy and other policy fields or considerations such as taxation, labour market and competitiveness. Examination of the impact of competing economic discourses on social policy - neoclassic, liberal and social-democratic Keynesian, post-Keynesian, institutionalist and feminist.
