Syllabus: Examines the question of global governance (League of Nations, United Nations), national boundaries and transnational forces (political, social, economic, ideological). The role of global organisations; the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the World Bank, and the recent trends in international organisations.
