Syllabus: Pathophysiology. Oxygenation: lung function and dysfunction, lifestyle factors. Elimination, alterations in normal patterns. Metabolism and nutrition: alterations in normal patterns. Mobility life style adaptations. Homeostasis: blood pressure control, fluid and electrolyte balance. Body defence: wound healing. Pain response. Antimicrobial resistance. Pharmacology, pharmacodynamics and pharmacology related to selected disease states.
