Syllabus:	A general introduction into contemporary culture. Examines of recent examples of popular literature, film or music, and theories of modernism and postmodernism in relation to contemporary cultural practices. Develops an understanding of what constitutes discipline knowledge and how it can be applied. The student also gains the ability to think critically, creatively and reflectively.
