An approved bachelor degree or equivalent.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This is a fee-paying course normally available in part-time mode only. Students who have already completed four semesters in one of the languages may be able to complete the course in full-time mode.
Students will complete six units of language (either Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or Indonesian) plus two units with a regional focus. In consultation with the Postgraduate Coordinator, the introductory research unit Researching Language 500 may be substituted for one of the above units.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
