Syllabus:

Clinical practice and Professional portfolio development. Role of the nurse practitioner historical and contextual perspectives. Increasing the scope of practice, Professional - protocols, nurse practitioner competency standards, codes of practice. The law relating to practice as a Nurse practitioner. Professional registration and designation. Current debates on advanced practice - Autonomy and accountability and interdisciplinary collaboration. Professional communication and documentation, publication,reflectivity and critical thinking. Information access and retrieval and nursing informatics.
