Role of drilling in petroleum development, drilling rig selection, pore pressure determination, drill string selection and design, drilling fluids and bits, drilling mud hydraulics and lifting capacity, aspects of well control, vertical, deviated, horizontal and multilateral wells, pressure losses, surge and swab pressure, rock mechanics in wellbore construction, wellbore stability, corrosion control, cementing and cement bond evaluation, casing and tubular design and selection and riser design for deepwater. |
