Syllabus: |
Examination of how curriculum planning and programming requires an integrated knowledge of curriculum, outcomes focused education, instructional strategies for the teaching and the evaluation of children's learning outcomes. Factors influencing the development of successful learning environments in primary and early childhood educational settings will be examined. Students will develop and document a philosophy of teaching and learning based on their theoretical and practical knowledge of effective pedagogy and will consider key issues involved in the documentation, planning, implementation and evaluation of effective early and middle years educational programs. They will prepare instructional programs suitable for use in classrooms. |
