Syllabus:

This unit focuses on an exploration of leadership and management and the key issues and principles of leadership required for the current and future successful leader. It also provides an opportunity for students to explore and develop individual leadership knowledge, self awareness and emotional intelligence and insight into their own leadership knowledge and skills based on their own work and life experiences. The unit also seeks to provide an understanding of the social, political, technical and international environment that will influence the leadership of organisations over the next ten years. This unit is based on developing analytical thinking and reasoning skills. A strong aspect of this unit is about developing leaders for change and for the future - people who can see the need for change and how to implement it within new organisational forms.
