This minor introduces students to sociology - the study of human society and interaction. It involves an intellectual search to find out about society and social change, in particular, historical events and everyday life. The foundational units in the first year lead to specialist units in second and third year such as: technological change; health and illness; media and communications; deviance and crime; the arts; gender studies and education.
