This course develops and enhances knowledge in one or more of the areas of industrial modelling and optimisation (operations research), statistics, numerical analysis, computing or mathematics. The major in industrial modelling and optimisation provides specialisation in industrial modelling and optimisation technology and augments the student's knowledge in solving real-world industrial problems using mathematical paradigms.
A bachelor degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This fee paying course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study. Two intakes are offered each year in March and August.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
