Project management is a distinct professional discipline, having its own body of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. It involves managing a project from inception to completion and the successful attainment of the project objectives. It provides the opportunity to gain the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary for performing the role of project manager. This course adopts a generic approach to project management and is applicable to any project in industries such as construction, engineering, education, health, commerce, information technology and research and development.
An appropriate bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution and a minimum two years relevant work experience, or a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This fee-paying course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study.
A student who has completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval from the Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate awards approved for this course are:
