Syllabus: |
This unit focuses on developing students' understanding of construction systems used in medium-scale buildings, including precast concrete, curtain walling, internal partition and ceiling systems, alternative glazing and cladding systems, general approaches to detailing and a specialist lecture on general structural engineering of reinforced concrete floors and retaining structures. Students undertake related field trips and are provided with an introduction to the philosophy and general requirements ofarchitectural working drawings. |
