Syllabus:

The law and legal systems. Jurisdiction of State and Federal courts and operation of the doctrine of precedent. English and Australian law reports, digests and law reports of other common law jurisdictions. Primary and secondary legislation and statutoryinterpretation. Legal research methodology and legal writing skills.
