Overview and history of feedback control. Mathematical modelling of physical systems including thermal, fluid, electromechanical and mechanical. Interpretation of the dynamic response of low order systems in both the time and frequency domain. Feedbackand stability. Stability assessment techniques, root locus analysis. Response specifications, time and frequency. Introduction to controllers. PID algorithms and tuning. State space analysis and simulation techniques. |
