The meaning of history. The Graeco-Roman Tradition. The Judaeo-Christian tradition, the Medieval Tradition, Renaissance Thought. Rationalism. Empiricism and the enlightenment. Romantic-Idealism. Historicism. Marxism. Structuralism/the Annales. Post- Structuralism.
