Syllabus:

Physical chemistry - gas solubility, molecular equilibrium, hydrolysis, buffers, curves, indicators. Organic chemistry - benzenes, alcohols, phenols, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, acids, amines, fats, oils and waxes, proteins and sugars, functional group interconversion. Chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods of analysis. Practical - laboratory exercises on solution equilibria and functional organic group chemistry.
