This unit is designed for students in the Master of Science (Computer Science).Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp) is a rapidly developing area of computer technology. It encompasses the technology required to surround users with devices which will allow themto seamlessly interact with software. The latest developments in the areas of technology such as wearable computing, smart house technology and biometrics will be covered in this unit. The strategies required in order to integrate this type of technologyinto a cohesive environment will be discussed. Related issues such as intrusiveness, security and privacy will also be covered. |
