Syllabus: |
Introduction to financial modeling, using real world models. The development process - understand, design, build, test, implement and maintain excel as a modelling tool. Design principles & the user interface. Workshop - design (benefit projection modelling). The analytical process (using workers compensation insurance as an example). Workshop - analysis (workers compensation insurance modelling). Completion - testing, security and maintenance. Introduction to modelling using VBA, and advanced VBA techniques. Working with data in excel. Stochastic asset/liability modeling. Workshop - stochastic (stochastic asset/liability modelling). |
