Syllabus: |
Communication skills including practical aspects of patient care and counselling in pharmaceutical practice. Patient medication records, legal aspects of patient medication records. Competencies for entry level pharmacists. Legislation applicable to drugs and medicines - Poisons Act and Regulations, National Health Act and Regulations. Schedule of Benefits. Dispensing of extemporaneous formulations, dispensing prescriptions, prescription review, legality, restrictions, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and private prescriptions. The health care system in Australia. |
