Syllabus: |
Chinese society and culture. This unit explores concepts of consensus and control, conformity and conflict through topics such as women's resistance, student demonstrations and peasant revolts. Ideology, religion, philosophy and legal codes will be used to explore women's changing roles, ethnicity, the family, work and leisure, education and mass media. |
