Syllabus: |
Elements of hydrology. Elementary meteorology, precipitation, evapotranspiration, infiltration, percolation and surface run-off. Surface water hydrology. Statistical analysis of hydrologic data. Measurement of stream flow. Yield analysis. Flood estimation. Urban hydrology. Ground water hydrology. Introduction to ground water hydraulics. Safe yield. Interaction of the development of resources, boundary conditions and the environment. Laboratory is 4 hours, twice per semester. |
