Syllabus: |
Principles of drug distribution and elimination. Parameters of clearance and volume of distribution, elimination rate constant and half life. Passage of drugs across biological membranes, relevance to absorption. Drug protein binding. Biochemistry and kinetics of drug metabolism. Induction and inhibition of metabolism. Renal drug elimination processes. Concepts of steady state and average plasma drug concentrations in relation to drug administration. |
