Syllabus: Practice of development in the Third World. Critical analysis of the range of approaches to designing, implementing and evaluating development projects. Topics include - the project cycle in planning, understanding the project environment, logical framework analysis, participatory and control-oriented management techniques. Students must produce a major research project.
