Syllabus: |
Designed to introduce students to the history and the traditions of Catholic school education within the Australian context. Throughout the course students will examine the basic elements of faith education learning experiences, including - scripture, prayer, symbol, ritual and sacramentality. An emphasis will be placed on suggested creative learning experiences to be used in the religious education classroom. A series of intense lectures will be supported by tutorials and workshops which will review for the students appropriate teaching and learning strategies and resources, including audio-visual materials, that can be used within a faith education programme. |
