Introduction

This course develops a more critical and problem solving approach to the professional practice of chemistry than is possible to achieve in a first qualification. Presently, there is a definite need for professional chemists with such qualifications. The course forms a basis for the professional development of experts able to cope with sophisticated research and development problems in industry.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelor degree in chemistry or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary educational institution.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee paying course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study. Two intakes are offered each year, in March and August.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials.
