Consciousness alteration and psycho active drugs, alcohol as a drug, epidemiology of alcohol use, etiology and nature of alcohol related problems, models of addiction, prevention of alcohol related problems - a systems and social learning response. Specific strategies - damage limitation, education, deterrence, supply side controls. Prevention case studies.
