Theories of ageing. Age related changes in tissues and organ systems. Common systems and diseases. Determinants of altered drug responsiveness and dosage decisions. The indentification, evaluation, management and prevention of adverse drugreactions. Demography of the aged. Relevant social services. The pharmacist in extended care and nursing home care of the aged. Requirement to undertake 60 hours of practical training in an appropriate environment.
