Classification of instructional illustrations according to graphic characteristics, presentation format and instructional function. Visual processing and learning. Developing illustration rich resources, including the design of original instructional visuals. Student generated illustrations. Contextually based evaluation of the instructional effectiveness of illustrations. Approaches for the effective integration of illustrations with other information formats.
