An introduction to the study of human biology including concepts of life and death, cellular structural organisation and functions, basic anthropometrics, dealing with data and basic tissues. Special senses. Brain and spinal cord structure and function. Reflex arcs. The nerve impulse. The autonomic nervous system. Muscle tissue. Skeletal muscle cell structure and contraction. Bone tissue. Articular system.
