Introduction to accounting. The basic accounting cycle - journals, ledgers, balance day adjustments, preparation of worksheets, closing entries, presentation of financial statements. Merchandising operations, perpetual and periodic inventory systems. Accounting systems and controls, special journals and cash control. Receivables, payables, inventory and acquisitions, revaluation and disposal of non current assets, partnership admission and retirement, company formation and introduction to conceptual framework and accounting standards.
