Industrial processes, with particular attention to by products and waste flow, processing, safety and transport of materials, assessment of the impact and regulation of technological change in the workplace. Recognition and classification of hazards. Sampling and analytical methods of detecting hazards in the workplace. Principles of the elimination or control of hazards, personal protective equipment. Concepts will be illustrated with relevant case histories.
