This program trains graduates to enter directly into professional positions as economists and financial analysts in both the private and public sectors. There is a strong industry and government demand for honours graduates in economics.

Duration and Availability
The honours year will usually be available both on a full-time and part-time basis. Full-time students are required to complete the course in one year and part-time students in two years. Students are advised to check with the appropriate School about the availability of part-time study.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
