Introduction
In the late 1980s many organisations substantially redesigned and expanded personnel departments into human resource management departments often with a significant increase in status and responsibilities. Many positions which were substantially clerical or administrative in the old personnel department now have upgraded responsibilities and a more professional training approach. This course provides experienced human resource management staff, without a first degree, the opportunity to acquire a formal qualification in the discipline.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
An appropriate degree from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent or consideration to suitable applicants with a minimum of three years human resource management experience holding, or having held, a defined human resource management position and fulfilling the criteria set down for mature age entry.
Duration and Availability
This fee paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study.
Professional Recognition
The course meets the accreditation requirements of the Australian Human Resource Institute.
