| Syllabus: | This unit will provide students with the skills and knowledge to understand the practices and procedures involved in property transactions such as transfers of land, mortgages and leases and students will provide general advice on standard matters arising under local government, planning, environmental and other legislation relating to land use. The unit provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of property, planning and revenue law, their legal research and analysis skills, and their fact analysis skills, for the purpose of finding solutions to client problems. Key topics in this unit are acting for a buyer in the purchase of real property, effecting securities over real property and collaborating with another student to settle the terms of a lease. |
