| Syllabus: | This unit will advance students’ theoretical knowledge of contemporary research methodology in pharmacy practice, pharmacology and the pharmaceutical sciences. This will include evaluation of trial design and research ethics; data collection, analysis (including biostatistics) and interpretation; and the translation of evidence into practice. Students will develop skills in searching for evidence, critical evaluation of the literature, synthesis of information and scientific writing, including referencing, through production of a literature review. Students will practise working collaboratively in a group setting, as well as demonstrate effective written and oral communication with varied audiences. |
