| Syllabus: | This unit will introduce students to the pathophysiology of common diseases involving the blood, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, endocrine, renal and musculoskeletal systems. Inflammation will be present as the major theme bringing together pathophysiology of the organ systems. This unit examines disorders that may be experienced by individuals over the life-span, emphasising the basic pathological processes that underlie abnormal function and the risk factors and contributing causes of disorders. |
