| Syllabus: | Individual and group counselling competencies will be applied with a diverse range of clients and contexts. Person-centred theory will be utilised to understand and develop the skills in behavioural and cognitive-behavioural individual and group approaches to occupational therapy interventions. The principles and application of self-management and reflective practice will be utilised to foster ongoing professional development in this unit. Evidence-based practice, CMOP-E and evaluation processes will be utilised to develop individual and group practice. Reflective and evaluative practices will also be used to develop and maintain ethical and professional behaviours. The assessment and management of risk in individual and group therapy are consolidated in this unit. |
