| Syllabus: | This Design for manufacturing (DFM) unit looks to create products that have minimum impact on the environment and are economical to manufacture. To this end the design of the product needs to follow design for manufacturing guide lines that incorporate optimal manufacturing methods such as: Concurrent Engineering (CE): Flexible Manufacturing (FM); Manufacturing Systems and the integration of the total design of the product for manufacture. |
