| Syllabus: | This unit deals with the principles, rules and standards that govern the creation and interpretation of engineering drawings. Students learn and apply the theory and concept of orthographic projection to describe three dimensional objects and concepts two dimensionally. Through the study of drawing standards, conventions and abbreviations, students develop their capacity to produce and interpret multi-view drawings that include auxiliary and sectional views. Students also learn and use CAD software to produce detail and assembly drawings. |
