Syllabus: Introduction to ethical decision-making models in a governance environment using a case study-based approach. Topics include auditor independence, accounting regulation and corporate governance. Particular emphasis is given to current issues facing the accounting profession. Cases covered include both public and private sector issues. Students consider ethical situations in business and accounting, plus structures to facilitate group discussion, oral presentations and written reports.
