Syllabus: Social issues in anthropology : race-ethnic relations and social policy. An examination of processes which influence the nature of race/ethnic relations in a number of societies - the nature of social construction and reproduction of race/ethnic relations. The nature and role of social policy. Relations between the nations/state and minorities. This unit can be taken in both the Anthropology and History discipline majors.
