Syllabus: | Designed for students with TEE Discrete Mathematics. Algebra. Basic manipulations. Solving equations and inequalities, factorisation, simultaneous equations, index laws and laws of logs. Functions - manipulate and graph linear, quadratic, cubic, exponential and logarithmic functions. Calculus. Basic differentiation of above functions including chain, product and quotient rules, Integration of polynomial and exponential functions. Probability - concepts, rules and applications. Discrete probability distributions - probability functions, cumulative distribution function, expected values, uniform, binomial and Poisson distributions. Continuous probability distributions - pdf, cdf, expected values, normal and exponential distributions. |
