Syllabus: | Hydrology - introduction and hydrologic equilibrium. Measurement and presentation of hydrologic data. Rainfall and runoff. Flood estimation, rural and urban catchment runoff. Urban drainage system and culvert design. Public works - introduction to water and wastewater engineering. Introduction to surface water and groundwater hydraulics. Sources of water, storage, collection and forecasting demand. Water supply, water quality and water treatment. Wastewater collection, treatment and disposal. |
