Syllabus: | The overall objective of the unit is to introduce molecular biology - the study of living systems and their functioning at the molecular level. Structure and function of DNA and transcription, translation and replication. Mutation and repair of DNA. Geneorganisation and expression in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Genetic basis of disease and cancer. |
