Syllabus: The representation of Indigenous Australians in mass media. Its implications for indigenous aspirations, community relations, political stances and government policy. Critical analysis of print and electronic news, current affairs, talk radio, drama and advertising texts. Examination of media policy, journalism practice and ethics. Indigenous perspectives and participation.
