Lecture: 2 x 3 Hours Quarterly
Syllabus: Introduction to ecological principles covering natural cycles, biogeochemical processes, ecological concepts and relationships. Environmental pressures in Australian and global context - population, consumption, energy and materials use. State of the Australian environment with regard to atmosphere and air quality, water, rivers, wetlands and coasts, biodiversity and land management. Students are to attend a three-hour lecture once every three weeks.
