Syllabus:	Morphology, classification, evolution and palaeontology of the main invertebrate and plant fossil groups. Palaeontology in stratigraphy on a world wide basis. The stratigraphic record and stratigraphic nomenclature. Principles of stratigraphic correlation, transgressions and regressions. Stratigraphic principles applied to basin analysis. A review of sedimentary basins in Australia.
