This course is designed to build on the knowledge, skills and abilities of health workers of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. It focuses on the use of art activities as a healing process. Art is used as a means of communication in helping relationships as a source of healing.
A degree level qualification or equivalent.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This fee-paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study.
Two units are conducted in the Centre for Aboriginal Studies. The remaining unit is conducted in various Indigenous health care settings. Part-time students are required to complete the first two units before commencing the practicum and reflective practice unit.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
